Avnet Embedded can supply a full range of direct thermal 80mm receipt printers suitable for Retail, Hospitality and Kitchen environments. Dual-colour impact printers are also available in a variety of models. Printing speeds of up to 300mm per second mean near instant receipts, speeding-up transactions and reducing queuing times for customers. 80mm diameter paper rolls (80 metres in length) are commonplace and have been the industry standard for many years; however, some printers are able to accept new larger diameter 102mm rolls containing 128 metres of paper, meaning many more receipts between roll changes.
To suit their surroundings, coloured and even gloss/chrome finish printers are available. Printers can be supplied for desk use or wall mounting to save on valuable workspace. Buzzers, flashing warnings and even customised melodies can be programmed into some models to distinguish between different printing events and to attract attention to a printed receipt in noisy kitchens. Most of the receipt models are available with built-in power supplies, helping to keep the workspace tidy.
